String lights make a great atmosphere
on back porches and decks, but plugging them in and pulling them out can become a hassle. I decided to fix this problem by removing an old sconce on our back deck and hard wiring the string lights straight into the house wiring. The best part is that now those lights are on a switch. Easy on. Easy off. My video shows how I strung up my lights and how I wired them in. I hope you enjoy and don’t forget to consult a local electrician if you are in over your head! More details below…
